National Geographic releases the remainder of its book

The famous National Geographic magazine, based in Washington, has laid off the remainder of its writing team, after a series of obstacles that faced the magazine specializing in the fields of science and nature in recent years. The latest decision comes from the corporation owned by Walt Disney, to put an end to the work of 19 employees on the staff. Tahrir, after they were notified of the termination of their services last April.


The magazine will work on a contractual system to complete articles with independent translators and editors. The cuts also led to the closure of the magazine's small audio section


This is the second staff reduction in 9 months, and the fourth since the group's ownership changed in 2015. Last September, Disney fired six senior editors in an unprecedented reorganization of the magazine's editorial work.
